I thought this would be a nice topic to discuss.

What do you guys use to store and organise your magic props, be it for performance shows or just to keep them tidy?

I'll just spilt this topic into 2 categories:

1) For performance (ie. close up cases, travelling luggage, shoulder holsters etc)


2) Storage (ie. cabinets, shelves, trunks etc)

For me, currently I don;t do paid performances anymore, and my props are all over my room, so appreciate some ideas.. :)

I don have much props.. So i just keep it in a shoes box and for playing cars, i keep it in my old digital camera case..

I keep my props in my Las Vegas warehouse. :P

Actually I use those multi tiered Toyogo /Plastic Drawers you get from hypermarkets. Get a few of those big ones.

Due to space constraints - all over ;)

In boxes under the bed, in similar drawers like Jeff uses, in my magic case / bag

hehe.. i dont have any props...

I only have cards... :P... lol jk... well honestly i dont have much either.

They are kept nicely in my room... my nice glass display cabinet.

As for shows, I normal chuck in all my stuff inside any bag really... even school bag works fine for me. I have to hand carry my close up mat though since it is a DIY one... hehe.

close up mat, I use flexible chopping board for that one lolx. ^_^

I only have cards, so I store them in this cool old wine box, :D....

I once saw this magician carry this cool briefcase, with lots of his magic gadgets, :D
which btw the same kind of magicians briefcase that I saw @ Toy's "R" Us. that cost about RM100+.....

In the box U can see my Magic-I svengali+stripper deck, DIY STS and my Ghost Vision prop also DIY. lolx :lol: I'm a DIY magician lolx :lol:

Mine is all over the house! Okie i need help in reorganizing too!

I like Jeff's idea. Convenient, all in one place and affordable!

And basically i've DVD's, books and cards. So i just need a nice cupboard space! I know i've an STS and it's somewhere.....

Travel a lot har? Saw some airline playing card there :D And, the photograph is a bit big and quite hard to see, need to scroll down then can see..lolz

I've just got one drawer filled with my magic stuff.

That's about it really. Oh, and cards all over my room, arranged into neat stacks as my drawer is full.

I keep all my magic stuff in a big basket... so that it is easier for me to find it... but as for the magic books... it's all over the house :mellow:

I keep some of my stuff inside a shelve and some inside a plastic drawer that jeff gan mention.

Most of my props are placed in a glass cabinet, especially those that I don't use no more, it's on display (Those china-made imitated props I bought when I just started magic, which is rendered completely useless now) . But those that I constantly use for practice, I place it on my table for everyday use.

But normally those items are small objects such as rubberbands, coins, etc. For my good, expensive props - I keep it in a drawer (safe keeping, away from other people :rolleyes: :wub: )
