Good morning all. Erm, need some help here. IF one of my hand is holding a match, another hand is holding flash paper, how can i s*eal my white rose? want to perform appearing rose using flash paper..just for your info, i can't perform like what David Stone did because i'm on stage and no one can help me to hold the lighter/match... thanks in advance...

Hmm, if you're performing on stage, why not have a table with a candle on it? It creates a lot of misdirection too, if you can focus the audience's attention on the candle.

ever thought of this too. but i worry that the table and candle will block the view.. if i put a table in front of me. and, if i put it besides me, it looks weird :D

I was thinking one of those tiny tables, like a card table. The ones that are about 3 feet high, with a stem and 3 legs coming out of the bottom. Sorta like a lamp-table.

From your first post I gather that you're not doing a floating rose routine? Because if you were, then your problem would be solved. You could just an***r your IT to something, leaving one hand free for the lighter.

i'm not doing a floating rose.
here's my routine goes before polish: linking rings act about 4-5mins, then appearing rose, then snowstorm..
after polish by Kenny: linking rings act, then appearing rose from one of the rings. then do some flipstick move, then snowstorm.

just for your info, i don't know flipstick...

anyone please help me to polish..my props are very limited, so this is what i can do... thanks... :D

erm, if i want to produce the rose from one of the rings, how should i take all those thing? candle, one hand holding the ring, another hand holding flash paper.. so to s*eal the rose? issit possible for me to 1 hand holding the ring and flash paper?then burn the flash then produce rose..but i scared that i might burn my hand...lolz..

After finish doing your linking rings routine , s*eal a rose into your right hand flipstick position .

Immediately produce a rose from one of your ring , set all your rings aside . Do few flip stick moves .

And then do what you wanna do for the finale . Maybe you can produce few more roses . After you produced the first rose , put all your rings aside . flipstick , s*eal a red silk(depending on the color of your rose) with your left / right hand , whichever hands that you are comfortable with . Produce the silk from the rose .

After producing the silk , you can produce 2 or more roses . However , it contains a lot of body-steals . So just record your performance down , see where your hands
naturally goes , that is the place that you will s*eal the roses .

His routine doesnt require flash paper

Flipstick , i believe is one of a sleight used for pen/small item production
Maybe u can Pm him as i wont mention here worrying about the degree of expossure

THe effect described by him is something like producing rose from thin air, in the ring.

Flipstick move is move invented by a Holland guy name Flip Hallema...
He has a DVD purely base on this move...

If you are a manipulator or stage magician
You probably won't use flipstick move for rose but just the holding position only...

You asked why ? Because ... Rose stem is very soft ... Unless your rose stem is as thick as pencil :!!: ! But , you can do flipstick move with it , with a "gimmick" . Figure it out yourself , babies! :P
