It's been a decade since my last post here.

Anyway, feel free to sound your opinions for the following matter that bother me for long .

There are number of banners out there at Cheras (not sure other places), claiming that children can learn to see through blindfold after a series of training. And ONLY children within certain range of age are able to be trained to possess the ability (or easier to be cheated?). It claims that the special training able to enhance their memory skill by reading books blindfolded.

I'm sure some of you guys have noticed these banners especially those who are staying in Cheras. I've even watched their promotional DVD. Inside the video, children are blindfolded and doing a number of stunts such as completing a puzzle, read a page of story book, arranging letters to form a word.

This just look like a scam to me. What do you think, mentalism but in the wrong intention?

i actually heard it from someone before. true or false i do not know but one thing for sure is.. "HAIZ.. y am i over the age edi .. regret la" haha.. if not i sure wanna join the classes and see what going on, maybe can become a mentalist! ha

I remember seeing this banner somewhere...and I thought.. hmm...sending your children to "blindfold" classes...

Monday - Piano class
Tues - Bahasa tuition
Wed - Math Tiution
Thurs - "Blindfold" class
Fri - "Glass eating" class
Saturday - "Hammer a nail up your nose" class
Sunday - "Encase your body in a block of ice" class

Whatever for????

Well, this training enable to develop hidden "center brain" according to the advertisement. This so called "center brain", once it's 'opened', we will be able to memorize the whole book after the FIRST read through.

My elder brother, he's about 30 over years old now, was brought to the training centre by his friend. The trainer read out his IC number and the name of the playing card that he had hidden under a table, BLINDFOLDED by a opaque hankerchief.

My brother, even now still insist that it's real after witnessing those stunts. Maybe someday, I'll demonstrate to him the whole trick blindfolded by coins, tape and cloth, and even cover my whole head.

For mentalists, the whole "center brain" thingy can be good patter for you blindfold routine. :P
