how bout a meeting in KLCC park, then a marathon of magic tricks for visitors there??
rules:
DRESS AT LEAST COMFORTABLY WITH A MAGICIANS LOOK

PREPARE A ROUTINE DIFFERENT FROM ANYONE ELSE.

SINCE THERE WERE TOO MANY CARDICIAN, I SUGGEST WE ALLOW ONLY ONE CARDICIAN AT A TIME.

i suggest we draw slips to decide who do wat...

and for those who are not chosen for card magic, they are challenge FOR not so IMPROMPTU MAGIC!!!

lets not forget a deadly challenge... SUPER IMPROMPTU MAGIC!!!??!?!?!
MEANS THE CHOSEN ONE MUST NOT USE ANY GIMMICK OR KNOWN MAGIC PROP FOR DOING MAGIC TRICK!! only use things such as coins, rubber bands, bank note, dry leafs, finger rings, string, ciggrates, lighter, pebbles, etc......
tis is smtg tat really boost the magician essence out of ones soul/..
u need on the spot patter lines and spontaneous presentation..

lastly, i`ll say everytime we meet we will choose one cardician, and one super impromptu magician.

those who were chosen for the special category in previous meeting can skip doing so if they are chosen once again in the special category. BUT, they still must fall into NOT SO IMPROMPTU category....

then end of the marathon session we sit and discuss on our target audience, wat our audience likes and dislike, wat material tat suits MALAYSIAN,,,,, and so on.....

Great idea Eugie. U guys should meet up. get a group of magic buddies and meet up. I dont think i can make it for the any outing in KL coz im like vvv busy with work and all. But if i do go to KL oneday for a day trip or sumthing, i surely wanna meet u guys and do magic together.

Yeah for those who are in KL, man this is ya apportunity man. go for it. go meet magicians and interact from them. watch how they perform, their patter and style. each of us can be quite different.

I dont know if Malaysian are hecklers or not. im sure some of them are tough bunch of people to impress unlike westerners are louder and more open and receptive to magic. Asians i feel dont like to get cheated or feel "stupid" so they will tend to challenge u. So be prepared and learn some heckler management skills b4 u perform.

lastly, anyone from melaka? ehe or anyone coming to melaka? we can do magic and flourish together...

Sadly, my position was quite likely with MagicB which quite busy with my works so it's inconvenient to travel up to KL. :(

We may have our own activities in Melaka and first and foremost to welcome other states of magicians to join our wonderful activities that we can think of.

I am looking forward of lectures and conventions like they hold in the US & UK.

We can meet many magicians here in Melaka and at the same time selling their products, etc. This ROCKS MAN!!!!!!!!! B) - Will bet you, you will not tired and whatsover if you have many magic friends here fooling you around like crazy and psycho man, hahaha............ (You will get what I mean if you have that kind of experience like me!!!!!!) B)

It can be original or improvements. But, most importantly must 'credit' to the source or originator.

I am really hate and think it's unfair and unethical when a magician use other originator's effect and just add some card sleights or varitions, and then claim that effect is his own creation. :( - My Goodness!!!!!!?!??!!

For instance, if cannibal cards effect, then this original idea is belongs to Lin Searles. For Triumph routines, of course credits to Dai Vernon. For Card Warp, is Roy Walton. If diary prediction trick, is Tom Sellers.
