Gday fellow magicians,

Im only mainly a cardician and a card flourisher and I only beleive in sleight of hand magic. We magicians know that there aint such REAL MAGIC is there really?

Is there such thing as BLACK MAGIC or magic involving demons and all? Im totally against all this stuff but just like to know if any of u have been involved in such thing and pls share ya experiences.

i've never been involved...
but i've heard ppl who have seen it...
stories from priests who perform exorcism (not the hardcore one on TV type) on people who played with some bomoh stuff....
i've not seen it myself, but i have friends who saw it 1st hand....
so yeaps...there is indeed evil spirits around!
so becareful with what u play!

alot of people ask me... david blaine do black magic one ah?.... i just answer er... i dont think so... as far as i know he does magic only. :)

Then they ask me how abt David Copperfield? then i laugh saying, how would i know.... i may know magic but i dont know everything abt magic and illusion... hehe lol.

Some people think just because we are magicians we know the secrets to every darn effect. lol...

Hmm...... Sometimes due to some of my patter is something about mystery or paranormal, so I would use some patter about something fearful or would say something about this item has some magical properties kind of things.

Depends sometimes, some audience I came across they like something special like they like ghost stories or kind of mystery things, so I take advantage of this so when I perform some magic, I would use the patter concerning about mystery or dark magic, so that they will feel being entertained by my magic. ;)

Just curious as to why you suddenly ask about the "dark side". Does it facinate you somewhat?

Perhaps a good reference would be to look up a Tabib or Bomoh in your area. Perhaps they might provide some insights. I know this dude who can do some pretty weird sh*t up in Bkt Jana.

It's also probably useful to look up wicca practitioners (usually in national Girl schools) and Tarrot card readers (also mostly girls in SK's). There's bound to be 1 or 2 of these types in girl schools. It's weird. I know. Hey, perhaps they might even enjoy a flourish or two.

actually hor .. there is no diff between black or white magic ..

same to lie ..
there is no such thing as white lie or black lie
both is lie n to me (personal opinion) a lie mean a lie ..

so those practise magic .. (not card sleight)
i will put them into same category (again personal opinion)

magic or balck magic to me can b define as ppl who draw strength from the devil to perform outstanding miracles or healing (ok pls pls pls is my personal opinion)

but bare in mind larr .. in my church there have been former bomoh visited n share to us .. one thing u need to noe lor

personally, i'm a sceptic.

actually the more i learn about magic (our kind) the more sceptical i get.
havent seen anything to convince me of magik yet. I believe most stuff you hear about can be attributed to gimmicks/ sleights/ mentalism.

but i don't go asking for trouble by purposely meddling with it.

my 2 cents.

yeah.... i only wanna do magic that is just purely on sleights and not going near the dark side. dont even wanna see REAL magic myself. I think it will be scary if magic was REAL. :unsure:

You have to give the "dark side" some credit tho... without real magic, there wouldn't be any fake(the one that we do ;) ) magic. After all, what we're doing is to recreate and imitate the real magic (the fun stuff, of course) without having to get into some trouble with the lord of chaos.

card sleight if i am not wrong is not started with the purporse to perform magic

It may be true that card sleight started to cheat in gambling, but card slight is not magic. We perform the sleight to recreate magic, right? ;) It's not always sleight either, effects such as the multiplying rabbit (or sponge balls) is magical as well, but no one ever used that move for gambling.
