ChongWei - February 23, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)

Just would like to know, how you guys end your ACR ? Mine would be, letting the spec to shuffle the deck, then hand over, and snap my finger. wait for them to turn the first card. Any better idea??

I started off with Blaine's or Brad Christian's method which work fastastically well. But lately Ive been performing Oz Pearlman's way and style which is just so cool. U can see how he does it in his Born to Perform DVD. Once in a while i will try to vary my 2CM routine...

well, ofcos i dun do that frequently.. and yes, palming is kinda risky.. i normally do this when i'm quite confidence with my spec...tried few times only... my experience with card to mouth is, spec had not enough focus on my deck.. so , they see the card earlier than they suppose to be...
try the palming for once.. and see for the effect itself.. they're go crazy... just becareful...

Hi afoi,
In the ending, I use Pass to really show their card in the centre and with the riffling of the cards, the card ends up on top.
Cheers,
Andrew Loh
Brendan Low - February 26, 2005 01:34 PM (GMT)
cool riffle pass :P. My first pass i learnt was the herman pass and then slowly learn the classic/riffle/invisible pass.
yeah passes are great if or when the spec say hey... i didnt see u put the card in or hey... u blah blah blah, so its a great way to show them it is actualy placed in the middle and then swooosh.... :P
Andrew Loh - February 26, 2005 01:38 PM (GMT)
Hi MagicB,
Get the Steven Youell - Hacking the pass CDROM, the teaching of the Mongrel Pass is excellent!
Will meet you and perform to you this Mongrel Pass tomorrow.
Best,
Andrew Loh

in no specific order:
Non-gimmicked:
1) The Ambitious Card Routine with card to mouth, Daley Leaper, or here and there closer.
2) Hofsinzer Delussion by Paul Harris (If I'm not mistaken)
3) Emerge Triumphant by Oz Pearlman (agan, if I'm not mistaken)
4) Another Quick Coincidence by a magician whose name I don't remember. I saw this performed by Michael Ammar.
5) Changes by David Acer.
Gimmicked:
1) Invisible deck. You know why.
2) NFW. Indeed, if you don't know what it stands for, you just haven't seen it done :)
3) Million Dollar Monte (or Penguin Monte, depends on where you got it from).
4) Presto Printo by Daryl.
5) Svengali deck. Yes this is an old stuff, but try performing it to a layman who's never seen it done before. You'll see their eyeballs swell beyond normal level.
But my most favorite of all the favorites is Dr. Jacob Daley's Gambler vs. Magician. It's an ungimmicked two phase routine which incorporates an element of NFW and traveling cards. When performed correctly with a good patter, this has to be one of the best card tricks there is!
Andrew Loh - April 30, 2005 03:21 PM (GMT)
1. Sandwich effects
2. Mental card effects
3. T&R
4. Triumph
5. Royal Flush card effects
Andrew
Clement Josos - August 18, 2005 10:58 AM (GMT)
1. 2 Card Monte
2. Hitman
3. Voodoo Zone
4. NFW(the name sure fits the reaction from specs)
5. Shot Caller
I often perform them as if I did them wrongly, but the reactions in the end is well worth it...N* F****** W** they always say
Kennard - August 18, 2005 11:03 AM (GMT)
I like the idea of hitman, but sometimes, people dont hold it the way u want them to hold and u dont get the desired effect. <_<
Forrest Lim - August 18, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)
how about
1. Classical ace
2. Monte 3.0
3. ACR
Samuel Chong - August 19, 2005 01:41 AM (GMT)

3)3 Card Monte (It's street monte but with a little surprise in the end)
4)Metal bending
5)Ambitious Card
6)Lesson In Plaming
7)Card To Pocket (I only perform it when I'm wearing slat)
8)2 Card Transposition
9)Card To Box
10)Cannibals
11)Spellbound

I love Aldo Colombini's Collector Routine in his Lasting Impression series. Anyway, I'm glad to say that I'm going to receive his lastest series - The Essential in a week time.
Andrew Loh - August 20, 2005 06:34 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, another effect adds here as my favourite list "Isolator", but this require some faro shuffle technique.
The effects sounds like this, a pack is cut into 3 piles, spectator shuffles the files of cards and notice the top card (2 of hearts) of the pile, performer shuffles the deck, and the cards are divided into 2 piles, when the piles are spreaded, black piles seems in one pile contained the seleciton and meanwhile the other red piles, just contained red piles.
