I believe most of us, regardless of uni or secondary school or college, will normally have holidays at the end of the year?? (or work?)

Let's meet in December! It will be a good chance so that people outside KL can have an excuse to persuade parents to go KL for holidays since it's the end of the year hols...

Let's make it at that time so people from KL, outside KL..overseas..etc all can make it

But of course, talk is cheap...and it's easier said than done..

Yes! Let's do it in December! I believe I'm done my next semester by then, and so do other people too (if I'm not mistaken).

Early December should be great! We should plan this carefully ahead of time, and get as many magicians as we can. If possible, we do it in conjunction with the Magic Ring meeting that's held every 4 months.

haha, perhaps we can start advertising 3 months before the event....
so someone must book the place..etc....and that cost can be covered by asking for $ registration, or getting $ for dealers who wanna sell stuff during the convention...

i think we should at least have a gathering and fellowship amongst members first. i mean we dont even know each other in person man. maybe we can meet up end of the year at i dunno somewhere in kl and u know just do our thing there.

we can see who every member is and yeah just do magic and flourish together. im sure it will be a great jamming occasion.

perhaps we can make a list of names here.. who is interested in meeting up end of this year? i know its still too early to make a decision, but at least we can have a rough estimate of people that is interested.

end of this year seems so long to go somemore.... wah.. hehe... anyway....

Wow..great..it's far greater than i expected coz wat i initially meant was to hav a mass gathering..of all the MMF members..i think even tat is good enough?i mean if everyone perform some tricks will already keep us entertained for a good half day hehe..anyway of corz the 'convention' idea is great..if there is ppl who's really goin to organize it..but if not, let's just hav a mass gathering then=)

Meet up at a hotel, have hi-tea/lunch/dinner and then split up , go performing table to table. Of course, obtain the hotel's permission 1st.

yeah it depends on whether it's gonna be just a mass gathering, or a convention...
if mass gathering, then informal greetings and introduction, then can do whatever we want lor...
if convention...then should have some lectures and competitions perhaps??

hey guys, lets not be too optimistic yet. lol... yes, having conventions and all that will be really awesome... but who is gonna organise it and all? i beleive most of us here are either working or still studying, hardly have time to organise rite? i was thinking more of a mass gathering.. lol... somewat like wat darren said. just gather ya magic buddies and just jam together at some place in kl. more like a fellowship event where we can all get to meet each other finally and do our things together :)

Sorry for being off topic, but I would challange that claim as well vision. See I'm from Indonesia and I'm not really into that guy... By the way vision, how long are you gonna be there for? I'm hoping I'll be in Indonesia by the 23rd of June :) I hope we can meet up or something.

On topic: Yes, let's keep our stuff simple first. A convention would be too grand for a forum that's not even a year yet ;) But of course, the idea of meeting by the end of the year shouldn't be abandoned! We all should be comfortable with each other by then so a huge gathering would be swell!

i better start practising now :P

Besides, James Tong will be organising a magic convention or magic gathering sometime in Nov... so check out for that. Andrew and I surely wanna go for that. So, hope to see u guys there. Go and meet the real pros and see their stuff :P
