Title: “magic Star”
Bill - June 1, 2005 11:46 AM (GMT)
I just watched a show called “Magic Star” on AEC at 6pm today. (Just found out)
It’s literally performs by several China magicians and pretty much like we saw on “Monda Magic”.
One of them performs “Invisible Deck” and “Card Warp” 3 times each with different spectators. I reckon it’s too much. Once is best.
Other guys performs “Here Then There”, “Red Hot Mama”, “Delay’s Last Trick”, and some card tricks and stage magic, etc. They also teach you a self-gimmick trick that you could do it straight away.
Overall, it’s fun show.
Have a bodacious week

I know one of the guy’s name is Liu Xuan (hopefully my translation is correct.). He’s the top magician in mainland now. And he did published a magic book which you all can find it out at any bookshop here.

I watched the show also..not interesting enuf to keep me to finish it..dun u think the 'invisible deck' trick is not very well practised?he's like quite unsure bout which card to turn..n did it 3 times also..too many..
i think it's on every wed 6pm on AEC..if not mistaken..but err..honestly i personally prefer 'western' style of street magic..just MY Opinion..=)

B, the book is in chinese.. and.. all sort of simple normal trick.. which doesnt really require sleight of hand... Juliana Chen also asian right ? A.B.C maybe ?
Jeff Gan - June 2, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
juliana chen is originally from china.

Oh cool, Juliana Chen has fascinated me with her card manipulations and her changing masks which she performed in the World's Greatest Magic show.
I think she is the greatest card manipulator in China. ^_^

This show was showing in SIngapore a while back. It's not very engaging because the 2 magicians could hardly make any connection with the audience and the reactions are usually quite lack-lustre. Overall quite average show.
