Title: Handling Of Id Deck
Description: :s

Kam - June 16, 2005 04:49 AM (GMT)
I recently just got a hold of a spankin new Bicycle Invisible Deck, and after months of not using one (I lost my first one the third day I got it), I lost the handling of it.

HOW DO YOU SPREAD THE FIRST FEW CARDS WITHOUT GETTING IT TO EXPOSE **************** !!!!?!?!???

I kept ending up exposing "the second card", if you know what I'm saying. Any help?

(I hope this isn't too much of an exposure...)

as long as you apply some pressure when u spread.. u'll be doing fine.. no problem for me.. even to fan it... is it the card problem? not enough of the "material" ? try put it to the middle of deck and see?

I would think that your cards aren't 'rough' enough.....
You shouldn't have a problem with exposing when you spread the cards on the table either...

I see... I shall try it again when I get home. I have no problem spreading all other EXCEPT the first 2 cards, and even if I cut the deck, I still have problem spreading ANY top two cards  weird shite!

Hey dok...
i have that problem actually with my brainwave deck from Penguin, it's not that sticky....and i had to be real careful when spreading....

but i got my invisible deck elsewhere, and it's sticky enough, and i have no problem spreading the cards...
Maybe you can spray X on it

Question..
how do you guys normally handle or present your invisible decks as a trick?

I once bought it for a friend of mine...tried it out as well..=)..and..just something about it which made me really uneasy..but thts just me...

LoL, in fact..i nvr really use my ID , only show to someone who knows what it is.. sometimes thru webcam... which for sure the spec cant examine it

Brendan Low - June 17, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)
i dont use this kinda decks even though the effect and idea is superb!

i think it will wear out and u need to re**** again with RS.

I prefer normal bike decks. B)

eriyanic, maybe that's the case, it's not rough enough.

as for dam0n, I usually do a two phase routine with ID. First one is the standard one (take the invisible deck, shuffle it, turn over one card etc etc), then the next phase I'd ask the spec to call someone (with me cellphone, of course) and ask for a card. And bam, it's done.

Hi guys,

Check out magic book Diverting card magic, Andrew has a very powerful invisible deck routine WITHOUT using gaffed cards. ^_^ - Done impromptu!

Hey guys, someone once told me you should spray your gaffed cards (Brainwave/ Invisible) to keep them roughed. Magic shops sell roughing fluid, but a magician once posted on SMC that mat spray can also be used... I've never tried the latter, only roughing fluid, but just thought I'd share this with you :)

Cheers,
ning ^_^
