Title: Wat Ya Do When U Open A New Deck?
Description: Seasoning ya cards...

Gday fellow cardicians,

We all know that sleights and moves are super hard to do with a absolutely new deck of card. the cards are stiff, super smooth and slippery and slides here and there.

What do u guys normally do when u open a new deck of cards (eg. bikes).

I normally will thumb fan it to see how good the quality is. most of the time the cards cant fan that well from a newly opened deck. it takes a good couple of hours or so to season the deck and make them fan properly.

i often do lots of dribbles with new decks... nice flow.

i just only opened a new deck 3 days ago. now its more seasoned already.... but maybe a bit too season in terms of the fanning is kinda not top notch as the cards are now sticky and all. It still have the crisp though. Still can do HSC with it. I guess it all depends on the atmoshere.. and humidity. so, yeah i often on the air cond when practicing.

Perhaps i will give my card a good coat of Fanning powder on thurs nite. Just hope they dont get sticky again. lol.... hope got nice cool and dry air cond this fri nite.

Older cards, good for cuts and springs.

Anyone has anything to add to this?

Cheers!
Brendan

you sure about that ? I'll always get crazy when i fan a newly open deck... and IF i have extras deck, i'll spring it as well.. although its harder.. LOL

yeah freshly opened new decks, when u fan it wont fan very evenly. it will be nice but not as nice until u season it lil.

v difficulty to spring new decks. u might end up bending or even folding them in the end. dribbles are the best for new decks. driblle and riffle until they are softer then only spring :P

CHeers!
