btw...although the need to flourish has seemingly disappeared from me...for some reason I find the new DVD extreme beginners to be quite attractive..have a feeling it'll be quite entertaining...and for me..Ive always sucked at fans...IMO..teaching's prol gonna be good; product c'ming from devo..

college assignments repeat a freaking thousand times. I haven't had much sleep and magic practice lately (though I could still managed to impress the guys at magic ring today har har!).

more time spend on work and sports and the rest of the time in practicing magic.

try to do the DL shit almost 100 times now but still get stuck and lets not talk about everything else. :(

yeah Xtreme beginners should be a great DVD to have. its gonna be devo's last and final dvd.....

he's gonna leave superhandz and going/gone back to germany and be more active in the Ulmen. he said he gonna spend more time with family now :)

Afoi..dunno..I don't quite trust malaysia's postal effeciency....send things back hardly appear to arrive at the destination...u ordered much online?

quite... especially lately.. so far, not much problem. all reach approx within a week or max 1 1/2 weeks. Problem only occurs (apply tax) years ago, whe i get myself some personal stuff from site like amazon.com

so far, no problem with penguin(thru a friend) , ellu(few times) , eBay(many times), some manufacturer site(magnet, metal, etc)

anyone in here regularly pressure fan? I don't, but it looks nice..but then again...can't seem to do that to my deck of cards...it's like...almost the equivalent of dropping your I-pod onto the floor..even it it were a carpeted floor....then again..I've tried it with old cards..and the fan isn't exactly circular..any tips?

I hold the deck in biddle grip then start bending it (as if for a spring) and simutaneously do the fanning action...it just seems so...it looks like half an oval...lol..anyone?

Damnit same here dam0n, pressure fan is so nice to look at yet confusing to do! I just can't get it to fan in circular motion, if you know what I'm saying.

Then again, I can't even do one handed left hand fan.

Maybe you can use the fanning powder, I think this can help in the fanning process. Though I don't have the fanning powder as I am not really into card manipulations, Brendan last time used to apply to my deck, and after that, the cards can be fanned nicely. ^_^

current stuff...ok...here's my mid year resolution....

being a newbie that i am, i am giving myself 12 months to achive the following :-

A) master 5 card effects, until i can perform it without shaking, stuttering, and be able to repeat the patter while i sleep walk. the effects i wanna master are :-
1) red hot mama
2) triumph
3) ACR
please help recommend some easy but powerful effects for me to learn...

B) master 2 coin effects
1) matrix coin assembly
please help recommend some routines (coins across looks tough)

C) master the bill switch & silk vanish using TT

D) master 2 mentalism effects (the elephant one don't count)
maybe 1 or 2 spoon bends.

ok, the gauntlet is thrown, and the timer has begun,...

wah... good resoluion... i am currently practicing ACR to perfection but i am leaving out the triumph for now... :lol: maybe we can show each other when we are both ready.

For those guys practising passes, please use it only for control not as a trick. AKA, stick the card in middle and then no need to shuffle or crap and then do stuff like sandwich, triumph, ....etc. Unless you do a riffle pass. Don't show that too often too btw. Long time ago, in my very newbie days, I didn't warm up an audience and did a face up riffle pass as the first thing and that shocked them but they were like, I think u did this and that. So I showed them again and they went "WTF?" but then they asked me to do that but with the deck in their hands. Hahaha, damn I dint know a way out at that time so I just said I couldn't do it. But then I did a slow non-visual trick, I think it was a twist and they just shut up but one guy said I was doing things unvisuably fast. What is wrong here is that it doesn't have that magical feeling to it. So, keep in mind, don't do passes as a trick but as a utility of a trick.

Mmmm.... I said I would put out videos but I forgotten about it. And I game a lot. Playing Guild Wars. Webcam sux atm. Capture rate too slow for sybils. Makes the card movement too zoomy. Would you guys still want it? I'll try find something that can capture my sybils.

Aerox, yeah it will be great.. ya my webcam sux too.... but oh welll... i still did some vids with it. lol

but now i got digicam... have yet to do some recording myself.

I do it in my ACR to show that there’s no way I can cheat as they insert their signed card FACEUP in the deck. Show the card is in the middle then do a pass and they will shut up but you must do your favorite pass (mine is the classic pass) perfectly because it will look like real magic as there’s no movement at all except you riffling the deck (see how Brad or Jay people do it). I do screw it up occasionally (not that often, maybe 1 in 10 times) but its well worth it if you get it right.
