Description: ...kind of magic?

It's like picking NFW or Shotgun Aces. Like picking Snap Change and Shapeshifter. Ultimate 3 Card Monte and Color Monte. Spaghetti bolognaise and chop suey.
Which one do you guys prefer more? Do you like to perform magic as visual as it can be by any means necessary, or you'd like to tone it down as long as you end clean?

id rather like my magic to be clean. visual is one thing but clean is better. visual tricks that involves risk of being exposed, id practice with magicians, as for laymen i go for those that i know i can do well and end up clean!
BRendan :P

well, right now my scale is heavier on the visual side...
i don't know, man. in my experience the malaysian public definitely responds more to visual magic. i'm not saying they don't respond to non-visual(is this right?) magic, but i guess visual magic conjures a mixture of awe and fear, which makes it all the more effective.
for magicians, this also makes us practise more in order to perfect the 'cleaning-up' process of effects.
did anyone understand anything i typed?

hehe baalan, yala.. i got wat ya mean la.. lol
magic in its own is visual already wat. lol. wat isnt visual in magic? Its always important to end up clean. If u can do something v visual but it the end u expose the secret to a laymen, then wat justice or kick does that bring? u will just know that ok wat u did is visual but sh*t, i ter-expose it... sigh.
so yeah... i mean once in a while i try to be ambitious and just do a visual CC like Betram change... but WTH... if they see they see, if not, great.. and if they wana talk abt it i pretend i dunno wat they talking abt it and move on to the next trick. lol
Again, visual more towards magician and Clean more towards laymen. That's the best way to be.

>> NFW or Shotgun Aces
NFW is a twisting + transposition effect while Shotgun Aces is 4 aces production effect. It's quite hard to choose.
However, if it's a twisting + transposition effect, I'll go for R.Sanders' Hardcore Packet because it end clean.
For 4 aces production effect, it's just producing 4 aces with some cool, fancy false cut and different flourishes. Without a doubt, it's obviously visual and clean but make the flourish and sleight that you use are welly practised. Otherwise, yaks  .............

>> Snap Change and Shapeshifter
I'll go for both, visual and clean (Shapeshifter). That' very important when you're doing table hopping and strolling. However, if situation and angle is perfectly right, I'll just go for visual (Snap Change) I won't care about whether I'll end clean or not. Check out D.Stone's or J.McBride's DVD, their Snap Change could be done in a rather clean way.
>> Ultimate 3 Card Monte and Color Monte
Neither nor. I always use my own version of 3 card monte ^_^

Hmmm..... I always vote for ending clean. Because I always like to hand out my deck of cards to spectators' inspection if they require me to do so. ^_^
