Hi afoi,
The bal***ci method does not used gimmick but used a very clever principle.
If you interested, just PM me, ok?
Best,
Andrew Loh

dear andrew ,
yes, i know bal***ci ... I'm actually asking.. how you guys end the ki** **sing levitation.... because there's once that i do the bal***ci , then spec query, so i do the ki** **sing to "proof" that ... both feet IS on the air... but the problem is, it doesnt seem to end smoothly...

PM me/andrew if u want Afoi, we can explain to you how to end the effect :P
CLue: Misdirection :P

yeah misdir is how i usually end it. i don't use a jacket or any other cover though. (is this giving away too much?)

i guess the best way is to MIME taking off ur shoe from the tiptoeing foot,by stepping back, then continue to visibly taking off the other shoe.
fairly look like u taking off both shoes gradually,,and having the excuse of telling them to look into the shoe for any gimmick.

yea.. misdir is everything about it.. but my point is, does it look weird enough when u talking to people with your position?

i quite long never do the B******i levitation already but my success rate is ussually abt 60/40. It depends who u perform to... lol... :)
go watch blaine's street magic and see how he position his audience and watch his performance... learn from him.

well for KR its not really weird to talk to the specs in ur position cos u can actually tell them what ur gonna do, unlike the B lev. the patter and misdirection all goes into making the effect a whole lot better. i'm only a bit squished about the angles, so i rarely do the KR.

Ah....
Those are xrated words because they require skill instead of gimmicks...
How about this...The Elevator...
I find it hard to actually get this and not many people actually use it. Do they sell it here?

i've never actually seen a local guy own the elevator gimmick. i heard its about USD12? for the manuscript right?

Quick Cap:-
Balducchi is the best method for levitation cause it is impromptu & no gimmick requires.
KR require misdirection & for me it is a bit ackward to finish it off after you do the levitation because of the method in the misdirection (for those who knows)
Elevator is actually good but it is a quite a high price (US$100), anyway still the gimmick is quite briliantly invented by Peter Lougharn. :ph43r:

The thing I don't like with King Rising is that they're mocking this other levitation routine called Wild Levitation (by showing that you don't need a jacket over your legs).
Anyways, I saw King Levitation performed by Brad Christian and it was not convincing at all (my taped balduchi is far more convincing). But afoi, if you want me to tell you how to do it Brad Christian way (with his patter and misdirection too), give me a PM.

i had that video.. actually just intend to ask "how you guys end with your KR ? hows the cover up?"
Charlston - May 6, 2005 07:53 PM (GMT)
does my suggestion no help? ah foi??
pretend to take ur shoes off slowly is better than brad christian way of cover up the feet, misdirect and wear back the shoe again...
tell me wats ur opinion abt my suggestion....
