It's just like find a needle in a huge sea. :) - Melaka you can hardly find a magician here. Only the old and veteran performer.

You see, Malaysia and Singapore is very different, in Malaysia, you can't find any magic shop which the standard similar to Singapore.

I think if there's a magic shop in Malaysia and our local magicians TRULY SUPPORTS ori magic stuffs, I believe the magic shop will prosper and who knows, maybe the number of magic shops will be increased in Malaysia or the art of magic is widely spread in Malaysia.

I would say quite a number of people in my hometown here are not really open-minded, if you perform card magic, they will felt offended and ego and they will say you are a cheater, etc.

But, this is part of entertainments only, right?????!!!! -_-

You will notice that I seldom use the term 'card tricks', and I would prefer to use 'card effects'. The term 'card tricks' seems like deceptions and not many magicians like to use this word I think.

Our purpose is to entertain the audience, NOT deceive or cheat them. :)

The problem is that there are not many magicians here in Malaysia and it's a RISK, if you open a magic shop and you invest lots of money in there.

Another thing is magic stuffs, books, products, etc are not cheap, and not many people, magicians, hobbiyists or card enhusiasts are afford to purchase all these things.

yeah... i normally say card magic and almost never say card trick too coz when u say card trick... people know its a trick may not be so magical anymore. when u say card magic or card effect.... straight away their mind wil repeat.. "ok its magic and not tricks". there is a difference there i think

tricks are for small lil kids...

Well, ZW doesn't actually LIVE in Malaysia in the first place, he's based in Singapore (at least for the next couple years), and his interest started in Singapore thanks to a really cool dude who freaked him out on the plane during a school trip to Shanghai. So yeah.
