Title: How To Change Tt Color?

paulchin20 - August 9, 2005 01:00 PM (GMT)
Hi Friends,

I have 2 Questions:

1) I have a few plastic TTs which are too light in color. I'm thinking of painting it a darker color so that it matches me better.

Can you guys suggest or recommend some paint that will stick to plastic TTs
? :D

2) If a TT is too loose, is there anything I could do to make it a better fit?

Thanks,
Paul

You can use a brown magic marker, if that doesn't darken it too much. You can close the opening by taping some adhesive tape or even "flesh colored" band-aids just inside.

Professor Ted Collins used to perform an entire routine for magicians with an oversized shiny aluminum TT just to prove to the magicians that it is the handling of the TT, not the color or size that makes the difference. If you are handling it correctly, it can't be seen and it doesn't matter if it's a different shade than your own skin. But if it makes you less self-conscious to have it closer to your own complexion, go ahead and make the adjustments.
