Title: Hi Fellow Magicians...

Jeremy Soon - August 20, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
yo guyss...

I'm Jeremy. It's kind of hard to find a forum in Malaysia that are interested in magic. Glad that I am able to drop in here. I am from Sarawak.

I have always been facinated by magic, espcially impromtu/street magic, where you can just make magic using everyday objects. Since at very young age, my dad has been performing simple tricks for me. I guess that is where I found my interest. Then life just caught up, studies, uni, work etc etc... Magic is like at the back of my head. Recenly the interests bloosomed again.

Tried to find shops that sell magic stuff in Malaysia, but I can only find a few and sells limited stuff. Some of the online shops like ellusionist, penguinmagic, superhandz sells really amazing stuff. Got some from ellusionist, their stuff in great. But quite expensive!!! however for a magician that love to perform, it is reasonable.

Just got a glance through the forums to see if it is an active forum, it's hard to find people who likes magic in Malaysia. There are so few. Anyway glad to be able to drop in here and find you guys so active.. :D

have a nice day yo'all..

Cheers,
Jeremy

This section of the forum is specifically up for you guys to post an introduction about yourself. Please share whatever non confidential info about yourself e.g. how long have you been doing magic for, your specialization, your environment, beginner/amateur/semi pro/working professional, where you live, ya know.. those stuff. Name is optional, but you may rate how attractive you are in scale of 1-10 just kidding. Also, keep it one person introduction per one thread.

Gday Jeremy,
Welcome to the forum dude! THanx for the nice intro. Its great to see people having the passion to do magic. Like u said, its hard to find people interested in magic in malaysia.

But i think we can make a difference. At MMF, we have gatherings often and members keep in touch so i think it will really be a great fellowship which may last a lifetime!

Wat are u more into? card magic? u must like a bit of card flourish too i guess, since i see u post superhandz site hehe.

Anyway, hope u have fun and look forward for ya contributions dude! All the best in the art!

Brendan

I love magic and actually quite new as I have just regained my interest in it...download quite a lot of movies about magic tricks...

To answer Brendan, I am more into instant/impromtu magic, where you take everyday objects like matchsticks, cigratte, rubber bands... you just borrow something from any audience build up the anxiety, patter and then BOOM!! it all happens, and you will see the expressions of people...with open mouths and asking 'how did you do that???" and you just smile...it's magic!

I love card magic too, espcially the Ambitious Card Routine (ACR) that is really cool trick....put the selected cards in the middle then after sufflling, cuts, and bam! it is right on the top. or palm the card let the spectators shuffle the cards, then out of nowhere take it out from their pockets. I did once where i asked the audience to burn the whole deck...and then with card palm you find through the ashes and their card is the only card that is not burn...'I just cannot tell you the expressions on their face'....they were like Oh my GOD!!...coz they are the one that burn the whole deck...sign the card for them and then let them keep...btw i Use some china made deck to let the audience burn....hehehe.... i am not that craze to burn bicycle deck or those good decks... ;)

To answer Eryanic, yeah man...I am from Miri, I see we have a talented mentalist here...

oh yeah...I just found out my cousin in active in this forum too...Joe (MindFreak)..such a magical coincidence... :)
