Title: Triumph

Andrew Loh - March 1, 2005 02:29 PM (GMT)
Hi folks,

I have one 'Triumph' effect which is very easy to do and does not utilised the false riffle shuffle, zarrow shuffle or whatsover. Will be published in .pdf format.

It's very easy to perform. Just in case someone here does not familiar the 'Triumph' effect is, below is the effect. :)

Effect:
=======

A card is selected and insert back into the deck. Half face-up cards and half face-down cards are REALLY riffle shuffle together which this creates a mess. With a snap of fingers, all the cards are face-down except the chosen card is faced-up in the face-down spread.

=======

As a bonus routine, I will provide another 'Triumph' routine which will involve 2 person's cards at the end turn face-up in the face-down spread.

I am appreciate to hear your valuable comments from you guys, thanks!

Cheers,
Andrew

i have two ways in performing the triumph.

the first one i learnt was taught by brad christian in one of his vids. and the second one i learnt was by john gusteferro... which is all in the hand, no need table.

i dont quite like the penguin one.... emerge triumphant or triumph coz the rfille shuffle aint v convincing. THats just my opinion.

i prefer using the table...zaro shuffle (that's wat its called rite?) hehe

Andrew, u mean u gonna publish ya own e-book pdf?

MagicB, I really like Oz's Emerge Triumphant (the one at penguin), especially with the final touch of having the deck in the brand new order. It's a crazy kicker!

I also like one by Richard Sanders on his video Road Killers (with David Acer), i forgot the name tho. It reveals four aces instead of a selected card.

The false shuffle in emerge triumphant dy Oz is almost the same as Guy's false shuffle. Only the strip out move of Guy's is more convincing.

There are lots of shuffle to handle triumph.. Cant wait for your pbf to show. Or you showing us video?

Hi folks,

Would like to ask for your opinion guy, there's an ebook which is taught 2 triumph routines and other effects total 10 effects which costs around $10 (RM38), do you consider this is worth of your investment??

In my opinion, as long as the methods which you use are original, and not done before by others, it seems ok to charge people to get it from you.

But honestly, there have been many different variation of triumph around so if u are planning to publish and sell your version with other effects, i think its best to first do a research.

Check out Jay Sankey's Triumph routine called "Back in time"...
Simple and ordinary to the magicians, but magical to lay people..seriously!

Hi folks,

Heard that John Bannon also has his Triumph routine, very good and easy to perform. :P

John Bannon's triumph is called "Play it straight triumph"...very easy trick to do...but requires quite a bit of set up....
Eg: you chose 5 of hearts...get spec to hold it....shuffle deck face up face down together...magical snap..all cards are face down, except the whole Ace to King of hearts face up..of course, the 5 of hearts is missing...

Anyone does Guy Hollingworth's 2 phase Triumph routine successfully in real life?

Andrew, have you tried Sadowitz's Name any card triumph routine on lay people???

Andrew Loh - May 4, 2005 01:09 AM (GMT)
Hi Eric,

These 2 effects already KILLED me badly, I am still practising but never perform to laymen yet as I am still not efficient with these 2 routines.

I would say the Jerry's ones more difficult, you have to think and act fast, otherwise, it's not convincing.

I just learnt Paul Cummins "The trick that was never done" (or something like that..)..
a very nice presentation of triumph with black/red separation using time travel (again) as the patter...
one of the best i've seen! basically....
shuffled deck --> separate blacks from reds --> shuffle red packet face up face down, likewise with blacks --> HOCUS POCUS --> both packets are all face down --> turn over, they are not sorted in colour...but all mixed like a shuffled deck, as if "the trick was never done"

oohhh yeahh....my nipples are smokin already....

Yes, Bannon's play it straight triumph has a nice twist to the effect, but I guess with proper presentation, you could easily cull all the desired cards to the bottom..not in order though...

other then that, Dave williamson's funner color stunner(updated from paul harris's version) is pretty good...triumph + color changing deck effect....revolves mainly around subtlety's rather then moves...

otherwise..check the following out

Kostya kimlat's triumph (with the road runner cull I think)

Shoot ogawa's great triumph

Also check out the Daniel Garcia's version, Nacho Mama Triumph, very good. B)
