Meanwhile, id just like to give a review of his Cloak Traveller effect.

All I can say is its really good. There's a story line for it but I guess you could always change the story line to suit ya patter style. The effect require simple sleight of hand, but yet it is so poweful. It will fool laymen for sure.

I really liked the effect when Andrew performed to me a few days ago.

ok, simply, the effect:
The magician counts and shows 4 faced up Kings and put them on the table. Then spectator is then free to choose a card from the remaining of the deck. The selected card is then showed and put in between the Kings. The cards are then put inside the palms of the spectators sandwich hands.

Patter patter... then climax is when the magician ask the spec to opens up his/her hands and showing the selected card has vanished. The magician spreads the deck of cards to reveal the selected card face up in the face down spread of cards.

I'd give it a 4.8/5 for this effect. Its really good IMO :)

Wow! :o - Thanks for your review Brendan, appreciate that and glad that you really enjoyed this lovely card effect. Yeah, I always perform this to laymen and their reaction is just BANG! :P - Furthermore, this effect is impromptu and does not need any setup or gimmick cards to perform. ;)

Yes, guys, sorry for the delay of the book, as I have added some twists to create the effects more powerful and KILLER effects. (Espcially to laymen) :P

I also reserved other 10 card effects which covered some setup and gimmicked card effects, these effects I will come out of my second book MAYBE! There are some Fusion card effects, colour changing deck routines, reset, etc. I have been sending to overseas magicians for their reviews of my effects, the response were great. Can't wait my first book out! :lol: ;) ^_^ :P

i hope ur book will come out very soon , be pround of urself , magic book that make in malaysia :) no need to do any demo clip on that , cos if u wanna do demo clip , better u come out ur own dvd . books is for those that like to read , i dunno if u know that , some of the ideas from those genius didnt came out from their dvds , y ? cos it is printed on their books :)

Many thanks for your kind words. Yeah, last time I used to decide to just capture my effect performance in VCD, but JUST STRICTLY filming of my effects performance. If I provide explanation, yeah what you said was right, why not come out DVD. :P

Yes, after I talked to other magicians, and they told me just come out books that would be adequate. Because I am confident that if a magician has good knowledge in card sleights and moves, I don't think they have any problem of reading my materials as I sent a few of my effects to overseas magicians for their reviews.

There are somebody PMed and told me that just explain the effects, that's enough but unfortunately, being an author is not easy and should not take a 'short cut', as it's unfair if we do not provide 'CREDITS' to other past or contemporary magicians where you get the inspirations from which they deserved to be credited.

Also being as an author, I have to do lots of research in terms of the credits, the year published of the effects, plots, whose creations, etc.

In other words, I am trying to follow BRITISH or SCOTTISH magicians' style in their writings. If you read just one or a few of their books, you will understand what I mean. I really salute UK magicians in their writings since when I was young and having been reading their magic books, and their works inspired me to write books or become an author at this age.

As some of you guys here know that Peter Duffie, Alex Elmsley, Roy Walton, Jerry Sadowitz, the late Dave Campell, Stephen Tucker, etc, I have a lot of their influence in my card magic.

Yes, my book would be out around Dec' 2005 as I have added some new touches on the effects as well as redesigned the whole book.

Also noticed that I have limited the number of effects as well.
