Good day everybody,my name is Vincent Tan (not related to Berjaya) and I am a professional magician fr KL.I been doing magic for a living for the past 12 years.The kind of my act, well I am into interactive magic, whereby I communicate with the audiences a lots in my show. I dont know how to do classical act.Anyway I often came into this forum and was surprised and glad that there are actually quite a number of magicians in Malaysia.
Well,that's was a little introduction about myself. I believe everyone here aware that there was a magic shop called Magic Rink in Times Square and it's the largest in the country.For all of your infomation, the person who run the shop for the past 2 years is no longer with Magic Ring. Therefore I am now taking over and help to manage the magic club on behalf of the owner, Mr.Leow. To make it clear, I be only running the club,not the shop.
Now I am in the middle of restructuring the whole club and I am calling all the existing Magic Ring members to contact me ASAP as I need to recreate the member's profile again.The reason was the former guy created a mess and left with all the member's profile.
The club objective now is to reunite all the fellow magicians in Malaysia under one roof. Mr.Leow is the president of AMA Malaysia (Asia Magician Assocation),similar to IBM (International Brotherhood of Magician).I will tell more details on AMA in my next mail. Therefore my intention here is to gather all the magician in Malaysia, they can either join Magic Ring as member and automatically become a AMA's member or if they are already a member of their own club,then I will reunite all the magic club into AMA afficiate member.The club will organise more magic lecture by overseas magician more often in future. Will keep everyone inform from time to time.
Since I am still in the early stage of restructuring the club,therefore I welcome any new ideas or suggestion from all the fellow magicians here. Feel free to drop me a line or contact me. Thanks so much and I am looking forward to hear from you.

Welcome to MMF. It is always great having someone with experience and who is a pro in the forum. Yeah, ive been to magic ring... hehe once only coz im from melaka. but its a great place. i like the atmosphere and the setting.... v nice looking shop.

Looking forward to hearing from you more in the future Vincent. And yeah do keep us informed abt whatever magic happenings in the future :)

HI,glad to know that u are interested but as I said earlier, I am still i the middle of restructuring the club,so I yet to finalise the membership fees. Hi again to all fellow magician, just drop by to tell a little more about AMA,as I mention before in my earlier intro.

The First Asian Magic Convention was held in China Shenzhen last year from 24th to 26th Sept 2004. The events scheduled includes an international magic gala show, a close up magic gala, magic master lectures, dealers and The First Asia Magic Contest with the honor to be the Asia Magic Champion.The convention was presented by the Asian Magic Association (AMA), an alliance which established in 2003 which aims to unite the major magic societies in Asia zone such as Thailand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and more to come.

This year the Second Asian Magic Convention was held in Bangkok,Thailand from 14th to 16th of October 2005.This time, there were about 30 dealers from all around the world.There were about 10 magicians from Malaysia who attended this convention,that including myself.If everything goes well, AMA Malaysia will organise the 4th Asian Magic Convention as the 3rd Convention will be held in Japan next year.
