I would certainly go man! if there is an opportunity, why not take it! it would be great to have international magicians over giving lectures. wow! :)
Paul Long - March 7, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
obviously yes! ACTUALLY I have attended and helped organise a couple myself under the Fellowship of Christian Magicians (Malaysian chapter) - I am the hon. sect. (by virtue of being one of the handful willing to volunteer and work for free!! - hahahaha)
Picked up a lot of stuff from some great magicians including a really nice old (grandfather) clown named Hoby Tyler who holds the Guiness Book of Records for the World's Fastest Magician (record under his real name Paul Ricksecker). He won the competition so many times that they retired the record with him. SeriouslY :-) you can check out the record books.

Brendan Low - March 8, 2005 10:10 AM (GMT)
yeah... haaha....
pray that it will....
the thing is melaka v few magicians, they would argue why wanna do a convention in melaka? correct?
Andrew Loh - March 8, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah right! That's why I hope that one day when there are many magicians here let's say 50 to 80 persons, then it's good to have the conventions.
Andrew
Brendan Low - March 8, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
actually i rather just have a small community of magicians in melaka...
say abt 10 max. and we have a team already man. too many is not good. tat's my honest opinion. i think if we can have 10 magicians in melaka to brainstorm and have regular meeting with... that will already be a dream come true to me.
Then we can start to have a name of our melaka team. :P
awesome yeah?
Andrew Loh - March 8, 2005 03:25 PM (GMT)
Also true! 10 in our group is enough than OK already!
That'w the problem here we are very difficult to find mre and more Melaka magicians here. :(
Andrew
Brendan Low - March 9, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
dont worry bro.... they will come.. its just a matter of time man. im happy with just a small group of 3-4 people.
we'll just wait and see who is next in our team :P
Andrew Loh - March 9, 2005 08:55 AM (GMT)
Yeah right! Tonight will try to perform to few strangers as I am having a dinner to night at a school.
Try to impress them and hopefully, in return they are also infected by my 'Magic Bug'.

Paul Long - March 15, 2005 08:43 AM (GMT)
so did anyone go for the magic ring magic thing on 13 Feb? If anyone did, like to share about it?
ChongWei - March 15, 2005 11:44 AM (GMT)
yea..would like to know also... how about Bill ? you seem to know ALOT of this thing there...
Bill - March 17, 2005 02:14 PM (GMT)
Robin’s lecture was fine and he is hilarious. The tricks he taught were impromptu (using everyday objects) such as bill, rubber bands, cigarette, glass and coin routines, pins, lighter, rings, handkerchief, forks, spoons, cards, ropes, etc and all can be perform on the street without using a table which I like it dearly. Anyone here attended the lecture? There will be another convention in a few months. It may be an Indian magician. Hopefully those who didn’t attend Robin’s lecture will join this one.
Yours magically
Bill

Hi folks,
Today I just heard the new about Robin's performance in the lecture and this guy told me that he taught magic like Linking and unliking of rubberbands, basic coin magic, easy rope magic, is that true???
I meant come on folks, all these effects already ON THE MARKET so long already whether in books, DVDs, ebooks, lecture notes, etc????
Seems like sounds NOT IMPRESSIVE the way this guy told me. <_<
I thought that when magician deliver a lecture session or convention, they will teach you something new or unique??????
I am appreciate those who attended the lecture can give me some news about the lecture took place. Thanks!
Andrew
Jeff Gan - March 18, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
maybe the lecture was aimed at more beginner magic hobbyist (like me)
besides, your could learn the different styles of presentation he brings to the table.
no offence.
Andrew Loh - March 18, 2005 01:53 AM (GMT)
I see. If so, why not maybe they can tell us that this lecture was aimed to more 'beginners' type of magic. ;)
BTW, Rainking, is it you did attend the Robin's lecture???
Andrew
Jeff Gan - March 18, 2005 02:09 AM (GMT)
