Title: Ultimate Ctw Review
Description: Other Reviews- Sinful and Infusion

David Choo - December 8, 2005 09:18 AM (GMT)
Helo guys,
A few of you have been waiting for this review.
I will highlight only the important points.

ULTIMATE Card Through Window

The Effect: You have seen it in the preview. It's just that amazing! Card almost visually seen passing through the window!

The Setups/ Preparations: Eric James came out with a lot of creative ideas to perform the CTW. Some requires lot of preparation and setups but some requires no setups (Card through table and deck through table)

Face the fact that if you want a card sticking to a window, you will need some magician wax or a double stick tape. Prepare only that allows you to perform some amazing CTW. There's one where you just wave you hands and the card was on the other side of the window! and yet with a little rub and a little pull t comes back out! ... This is the one i loved the most.

Teaching Ability: Eric did a good job in teaching it ...

Price?? : I think the reason they are priced 45 USD was because it was fully packed with a lot of differemt ideas to perform the CTW.

It had CTW classic, Card to wallet, Card to TV (Interesting), Card fly through window (Innovative), Deck through window, Visual Card through window (this is what im talking about :) ), Wall Stab (Interesting), Card Through table and deck through table (No Setups).

Rating: Out of 10 i will give it a 7.5

Some i really don like it while some i really love the idea Eric presented.

Will be back later for the remaining reviews.

Hope this review will help you guys out on to deciding whether to buy it.

David

Thanks for the review...
I hope i can see u when I m walking on the street then u perform the CTW :D

Andy - December 8, 2005 04:10 PM (GMT)
I agree with StzeetzerX. I was really impressed with Card Stuck, the effect where u can have the card, even a signed one, go thru and back form the same window.

I am selling my DVD over at the market place at SGD$60. Anyone interested gimme a PM and i will get back to you asap. Mailing via registered mail to Malaysia is only about SGD$2.

cheers!

Helo Guys,
Im back and ready to review the remaining 2 out of 4 Videos I have fully watched.

Before that, actually i was going to mention that Andy is selling the CTW over at the market square but he's quick to it <_< . I highly recommend those whom never learn any CTW effects to get this Dvd. It will get you pumping.

I will still recommend though to others who knows the classic to purchase it for other amazing ideas in it. Don't hesitate to perform it because it requires some wax !!! Just DO IT !

Well on to the next Dvd

INFUSION By Geir Bratlie
This is one great Dvd guys ... eventhough it barely last 30 mins ... D*MN worth it. I promise.

A lot of people at E said they know how it's done and don't purchase that effect. They just made 1 BIG mistake. This effect was not supposed to be perform more than 2 - 3 times. Even in the Dvd, Brad recommends only performing it once.

But in the preview, Geir perform it a lot of times which is why some caught it.

It's so wonderful seeing yourself performing in front of the mirror. The illusion it creates was beautiful. I LOVE performing this. GET IT >.. Alright let's rate it

Effect: Great! I love it.

Setups: You just need a glass and a coin

Teaching Ability: Eventhough his english sounds a little different, Im sure everyone can understands. He teaches well.

Price: 15 US was a reasonable price.

Rating : Out of 10 i give it a 9, great effect, good teaching, nice easy handlings. Loved everything but i expect more ... such as Live performances.

Overall really good stuff.

On to the next.

SINFUL: Coin in Soda Can By Wayne Houchin

Are all the people here sure that they are ready for new year???
If you don't have this, then definitely you won't!!

This Dvd is my highest recommendation among ALL!

Let's rate it:

Effect: BRILLIANT!!! You start Clean and you end clean! Thats the best an effect can go ! Any coin, any soda can, signed both sides of the coin and even the can(the lid, the bottom or anywhere you wish). Just BAM! and the coin looks like it penetrates in to the SODA, prove it by showing both hands empty show all sides of the soda and the top still sealed.

Yet, open the soda and pour out it's contents, you will hear sound of a coin rattling inside the can, against all odds, it was the spectator signed coin!

Setups: A sharpie, Soda, coin

Teaching ability:Wayne and Criss sitting next to each other teaching you and giving tips on performance. Can't be any better guys.

Price: Eventhough it around 30 US, it has the total package. The effect is marvelous, teaching excellent, clips of live performances, preview of Criss Levitation, Preview of mindfreak and the coolest part is LIVE performance of SINFUL by Wayne to Criss !!!

Rating: Out of 10 i give it a 10 !!! Everything was great.

Highly recommended.

Stay tune for preview of GLASS by Adam Grace and 50 ways to rock a lighter
Both are amazing. Gotta wait i watch them.

David

ps: im not gay..

Ignatius - December 9, 2005 01:15 AM (GMT)
The only problem with Sinful is who wanna drink the beer or soda contaminated with different peoples' finger particles with possibly some sharpie ink flavor... :P

Jeff Gan - December 9, 2005 01:30 AM (GMT)

NO !! Must resist urge to go and buy EVERYTHING ....ARRggghhh !! :!!:

seiously, everything sounds so good...that I wanna buy em all..
Thank god I've given up all other kinds of magic except mentalism or else I dunno how I'm gonna find money to eat for the next few months. ;)

Thanks for the reviews guys.

David Choo - December 9, 2005 03:26 AM (GMT)
Aerox: Everyone is so sick with the their signed coin inside the soda can and trying to get it out ... Don't think they care much bout their drink. They just wanna know how in the hell did the coin went in there ... :)

Rainking:
Don't resist yourself!!! You will lose out a lot of fun ... hehe ...

If you only can buy 1 out of those 3 i reviewed ... then definitely SINFUL... It's just too great.

Jeff: haha ... Don't worry ... you can watch them soon ... myself just watched glass and 50 ways once only .... the remaining watched all .... Has been practicing Infusion these couple days .... pretty cool... ;)

Kam: You eyed the right one ... hhee ;)

David

Jeff - December 11, 2005 12:55 PM (GMT)
i just watched a few..

i luv sinful.. infusion is very good too. but need some practise as usual..

ctw.. well.. i cant complain anythin as its only USD45. if compared to almost USD300 for kennedys one.. however.. if u put in the time to do the set up. u can perform the ultimate CTW as u c in the demo. very cool.. the gimmick wont cost u much too.. i hvnt try it tho. n i really like some of the ideas. he teach u how to do the CTW n pull it out again from the window..

Jeremy Soon - December 12, 2005 01:29 AM (GMT)
does sinful come with any gimmick?

Adlan - December 12, 2005 02:03 AM (GMT)
usd45 is still way too expensive for the dvd.

David Choo - December 12, 2005 02:17 PM (GMT)
DJ sky : No, no gimmicks needed ....

just a sharpie for them to sign both sides of the coin, any ordinary soda can.

David.

I just re-visited E and realized that Sinful and Infusion are roughly the same trick. David, since you've watched it, i just wanna know if let's say i purchase Sinful, can the same method be used on what is taught for Infusion? Since it the setup still relates with coin and glass/soda.

lol.. they r totally different.. nothing similar ;)

David Choo - December 28, 2005 05:54 AM (GMT)
Sinful and Infusion are totally two different effects ...

If you are debating bout this no ...

The answer is Sinful ..... Definitely Sinful .... 100% Sinful

It's just too good ...

Pure Genious coming up with this handling for quarter through soda can.

Does'nt mean that Infusion is useless ...

It's still great ...

but not good enough compared to Sinful

B)

David.

Yusri - December 28, 2005 06:19 AM (GMT)
infusion is not even close to sinful..

hey, im new here, but i have also bought this dvd since it was released.

yeah, thats right, the explanation session was great and alse criss also put some his thoughts about wayne's handling, and the psychology behind the routine.

great, great, great, no need to bring any props, just your hands... hehe..

but, i still dont have enough courage to perform it, dunno why.... ^_^

if noboby wants to drink it, drink it yourself... hehe.. tastes diferrent...
