Title: Valentino

Hi folks,

Just few years ago, there was some news that raged all fellow magicians of exposing secrets of magic.

I guess the name 'Valentino' will instantly popped in your mind.

What do you all think guys?

Do you think that exposing magic on the TV can really contribute the advantage to the magicians???

But, Valentino has this kind of thinking, but I don't think so. :( - I felt disappointed of his actions of exposing the secrets art of magic to the public and this will definitely affect the magicians industries.

Would like to hear of your opinions folks.

Cheers,
Andrew

my opinion, is that he has reduced the impact of the illusions he has exposed. At first look it seems that magicians cant perform those effects anymore because everyone knows the secrets.

then again, whenever i am in a conversation (with non magicians of course), people still ask how did david copperfield walk through the great wall.
so i think the impact ( at least in malaysia) is not that great.

i am not a magician, only a hobbyist in the sense that i do not perform for the public. but i believe casual viewers who viewed "breaking the magicians code" will not remember much and all the magicians need to do is change the way the illusions are performed but the basis of the illusions remain the same.

Established magicians must now work harder to redesign their illusions to look like new illusions.

just my 2 cents.

Yeah Rainking, they have to work twice or triple as hard to make their illusions more powerful or fresh illusions.

I am offended when our local TV showed the breaking the magicians code. - This is really disappointed as the secret art of magic seems like so cheap to give them out the secrets. :(

Sigh............. :(
