how abt coin shell..what price do magic ring charge for it?

-Peace

Daniel Yeong - October 1, 2006 03:07 PM (GMT)
Definately an amazing trick to perform. The gimmick is certainly expensive for a RM0.50 coin.

Amane - October 2, 2006 07:12 AM (GMT)
Actually thats a pretty reasonable price
rm100 is about standard market price for folding coins the size of 50c
but then again
depends on the quality as well

Daniel Yeong - October 2, 2006 03:24 PM (GMT)
Perhaps i concluded a little to quickly. Anyone has the gimmick that MR is selling? Do inform us on the quality. THank you Amane for pointing out the quality is more important. Indeed we would wan the upmost quality from the price we pay.

xylo,

sucahyo is still a member of this forum, I just don't think he logs on anymore though. If you really wanna buy it, you could email him about it.

I remember him posting long time ago about a prop making factory he had in indonesia.

 the 0.50 sen gimmick that magic rings sells is quite good actually...last sunday i went there to bought some vid and the person ask me wan the 5 cents coin bite or not...since i am considered a regular customer there he let me check out the quality of the gimmick...it is suprisingly good quality..if c from near oso very hard u can c the "cut" area in the 50 cents coin...and it pops well right back too..good things is u can oso do it both sides(those ppl that know coin bite will know this)...for RM110 i think is overpriced but then the quality is good also ^_^ ..too bad i spend my money on vid jor if not will get 1 for myself keep as collection oso not 2 bad

Daniel Yeong - October 3, 2006 11:42 AM (GMT)
Thank you for the short review on the quality szehowe. In that case perhaps the price would be reasonable in the sense that quality control is there. Would get my hands on one when i have the cash but i would not get it from MR for i had a bad impression on their workers.

Daniel Yeong - October 5, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
Forgive me from the post above if it offended anyone. I state again, their 'workers' not the shop. Again i do not blame them it could be i was not there at the right time perhaps. No doubt i had high expectations of their shop since i have read multiple complements about them from here. Forgive me again.

integra - October 12, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
I see the quality quite good too , and also they included another small pieces to perform like cyril also that can show the small pieces that you bite .
But a bit exspensive lah cause for a normal coin bite in halfdollar also RM50 only + together the small pieces give it another RM25 lah = RM75 ok also what ?
But if i not mistaken there is one effect you cannot play with that gimmick coin also , it cannot perform the coin through glass bottle just like the original half dollar gimmick coin

Benjamin Chan - October 13, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
hey, guys, what about cigarette through coin??

mannthusiastic - November 8, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
I hate the movie (Click). It tells viewers that the coin is a gimmick coin that can be purchased in a magic shop.

nice day,

Adrian Khoo - December 19, 2006 10:30 AM (GMT)
Haha... People always know magic is not real. But do they always gets to figure it out? Idea is always there. People may come out with tonnes of explanation. but once u hand the coin out. They would be speechless. ofcoz a convincing switch is needed. haha. perform more and you'll know how to convince your audience. Remember, if u don see it as REAL, so will the audience. Practice till u master it. Good luck.

Apart from that, i personally heard the guys from MR says the coin is "ok" but definately not a grade A. If u look at it directly, u'll see it. However, it's the nature of malaysian coin. there's no suitable pattern to cover the gap. As for US half dollar, The Head is perfect due to the uneven surface. I may be wrong. but thats my own view. I have even tried building one myself. n i broke my mini grinding wheel. HAHA. :P
