effect : spec choose a card. then, magician take out a book/notepad. With a stickman on it.. holding a hat. Then, the sticky man started to move! showing its pulling out a card from the hat, revealing the card selected by spec.

i dont know bout the notepad version..never heard of it but i know a similar effect, the stickman was showing at the back of the pack of card...it's called cardtoon if i'm not wrong

u mean the cardtoon #1 and #2 ? i tot u'll need to "flick" thru the deck in order for the animation to happen?? check this clip out...

u can look for the dvd "making magic" by Martin Lewis.. it teach u how to make this gimmick by yourself in that dvd:)
